One [wuhn]: being a particular, unique, or only individual, item, or unit: I'm looking for the one baby having his first birthday today.

That's right. Today is the day. Happy Birthday to you, Theodore Edmund. Unfortunately the birthday boy is a bit under the weather and just wasn't himself. He didn't even touch the enormous slice of White's Bakery cake that I put in front of him (I ate it, don't worry). Still, a good time was had by all -- see below.














I'm not sure what else to say to mark this one year anniversary of Theo's birth, and of me giving birth to Theo. So much is in my head and in my heart as I remember those agonizing hours of hard labor, of Dr. Achilles putting Theo on my chest for the first time, our many visitors, the beginning of our lives together. All I can say is that life has been a little sweeter with Theo around.
