My Day in Great Detail

This posting seems pretty self-indulgent but here goes:

I woke up at 6 a.m. to Theo calling "Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, Mommy" so I went in and got him, poured him some milk in a sippy cup and read some Richard Scarry books with him. Jon woke up at 7 a.m. so I could go to my AA meeting, which I did, making a stop at Dunkin Donuts first for a large iced coffee with skim milk. After the meeting I drove home -- about 15 minutes -- and was greeted by a dressed and fed Theo. He was wearing this adorable turtleneck that a friend gave us as a hand-me-down and a pair of unfashionable jeans. He looked gorgeous. Then Jon went to his meeting at 10 a.m. while Theo and I did more Richard Scarry reading and played with his new train table. At 11 a.m Jon's mother stopped by with some clothes for Jon from the Wrentham Outlets -- cords, jeans, undershirts -- all well needed. After she left I fed Theo lunch -- soup, some rice dish I made, crackers with peanut butter, and apple. Then naps for all three of us. At 1 p.m. Jon got up to shower and get dressed for work. Jon works second shift -- 3 to 11 -- which sucks but is kind of okay too. Theo got up around 2:30, right after Jon left, and we immediately mobilized and went to the Hingham Playground. We actually had lots of fun there today as the weather was cooperating and Theo was in good spirits. After an hour of playground, we went to the library and played with their train table. Somewhere in all of that I went to the Gap to return a damaged shirt. The woman wasn't going to take it because it seemed "damp" but I said "okay, but the zipper is still broken" and that shut her up. We came home for dinner which was corn, mashed potatoes, carrots, blueberries, yogurt. Starchy meal. Then bath. Then visit from Grammy who watched Theo while I ran out to get diapers (we discovered I was down to one). Now here I am.

That's all for now.
