Our Wedding

I'm behind so I'm going to skip the Day 17 "piece of art" posting (I'm not very artsy) and jump right to our wedding.

Jon and I had a unique set-up -- we were married in San Francisco by a good friend of ours in a private ceremony in his backyard -- just us and a few friends. We had a brunch with all of our SF friends before the ceremony at the Women's Building down the street from us.

Then the next week we had a party -- a clambake --on the East Coast for those who didn't want to travel cross-country for an omelet and a ceremony they weren't invited to.

The SF portion was one of the best days of my life, second to the day Jon proposed to me in Bob's Muffin Shop in Weymouth. At our wedding Jon surprised me with a dance to a song I had mentioned weeks earlier was a favorite of mine. I loved (and still love) the people who joined us at our ceremony and even though our friend Paul, who married us, called me Susan, not Suzanne, during our vows, our vows are something I take very seriously. And so does Jon because he would have been long gone by now after a year and a half of my post-partum depression and all the drama, hysteria, hospitalizations and antics that have gone with it.

My dress at the brunch is my all time favorite dress in the world.
