This was another tough one -- I have photos that I love coming out the wazoo with a wedding, a baby, a trip to India, etc. Again, I'm assuming this isn't the ultimate final favorite photo I would want to be stranded on a desert island with. But this one makes me smile because it was such a happy time and because we look ridiculous. Jon and I were in India in a town called Amritsar where the Golden Temple is located. It is a Sikh temple. To enter your head must be covered so we bought these handkerchiefs from a vendor outside the temple at 6 a.m. (to beat the heat) and entered the temple. The temple was already mobbed with worshippers and we joined in the festivities by enjoying a free meal, which is a custom of the Sikh -- they serve food to all who visit. I remember that day so fondly and this picture makes me happy.
