Theo is know officially speaking in full, coherent sentences, which I find amazing. I'm sure it's totally age appropriate -- he is almost 2 -- but it makes him seem so grown up. I feel like it's rocketed him into a new phase of development.

Examples:

"I hear a phone."
"I'm living the good life" (repeating a sentence said by his daycare provider)
"It hurts." (said in response to having Triple Paste applied to a sore bum)
"I love you."
"I will make daddy soup." (in his new kitchen)

On the flip side, he throws food on the floor and cries if I try to put a hat on his head. He is also very hard to feed. Today he ate none of the lunch I prepared for him -- grilled cheese, grapes, yogurt. Can't win them all. We just do the best we can. Isn't that right?

  1. You are doing a great job with your little boy! Maybe his stubbornness is because he is so smart.

  2. You should get him some McDonalds. I know I can't turn down Chicken McNuggets and fries. Or, next time he turns down the dinner you made, tell him he can go make himself some soup in his kitchen. Aunt Donna

  3. I think you omitted the most important string of words he has put together lately "Auntie Kate is here. All right!"
