Yesterday, despite the cloudy sky, the three of us ventured out to the Daniel Webster
Wildlife Sanctuary in Marshfield. We did some bird watching -- we saw a
Northern Cardinal and a
Red Winged Blackbird -- and earned another stamp in our Passport to Nature book, really the only reason we went. Theo loved watching the birds and was surprisingly open to the fact that there were no cows, no horses, no "aminals" other than birds, which can be a hard sell on a two-year-old. He even ran through the purple flowers (not sure what kind) and said "purple flowers smell nice."
Here are some photos of Theo and me enjoying the birds.
