Cabin Fever!

Last weekend Jon, Theo, Auntie Kate, Tom, and I spent a few days at a secluded cabin at Pierpont Meadow. Another Massachusetts Audubon Society gem. We swam, we canoed (everyone, including Theo, canoed. I lazily swam in the lake and watched), we ate -- we ate and ate and ate, we made s'mores by the campfire, we saw beavers, we made trips to Dunkin Donuts for coffee. It was so much fun, and Theo got so comfortable being in the water and was such a trooper in the canoe. I am not sure how to articulate what a great time it was other than to say that Theo talked a lot about fans -- his greatest love -- all weekend (there were three fans in the cabin), I loved spending time with TomKat (Kate and Tom), and Theo loved having Auntie Kate around for the whole weekend, I learned that I like sitting around cabins drinking coffee and reading and talking about the outdoors more than actually being outdoors which is okay, I conquered my fear of swimming in water with fish, food is awesome which I kind of already knew but I loved cooking and barbecuing and, if I may mention again, making s'mores (none of which I actually did but I liked participating in the end product). Not sure what else to say -- just an overall great weekend.

**Also of note -- Kate finished her first triatholon -- which was being held a few miles from the campsite -- on Sunday morning! Yay, Auntie Kate!
