Party Explained.

Regarding “Party” posting, I didn’t fully explain. Jon and I threw a gala for Theo and 5 of his closest friends on Saturday afternoon. In attendance were: Timmy, Owen, Elliot, Jack, and Ryan (the over 21 set included Timmy’s mother and Auntie Kate, Uncle Tom and cousin Amy, as well as Jon and myself. Jack’s dad dumped off Jack and got out of there as quickly as possible. Owen and Elliot’s mother has an infant at home so she’s excused). There was gingerbread cookie decorating (see below for example of decorating station! I am not at all gifted in that department so I am excessively proud). There was also a lot of high-energy (read: insane) free play and Santa made a visit with toys for everyone. Unfortunately, Jack did not like the toy Santa brought him (Kabuto from the movie Cars – he’s allegedly a “bad guy” – I’ve seen the movie 15 times and quite frankly have never had a problem with Kabuto) and he never really bounced back. In fact, he threatened to never come back to Theo’s house. We tried to talk him down, gave him an extra Hershey Santa, and I feel confident we’ll see Jack again (he lives next door).
